Mixed Fortunes in Nationals fo Donyngs Men

A Mixed week of results for Donyngs Men in National Competitions.

George Hopper beat Alfie Simmons of Wey Valley 21 - 15 in National Mens Singles to set up a Round 2 match against the winner of Ted Ray (Donyngs) v. Andrew Richardson (Wey Valley).

Unfortunately the Donyngs Pair of Steve Colby and Ted Ray were not so sucessful, losing 6 - 26 to James Loader (Horsham).

A better result for the Dragons of Donyngs Denny Plate side, who played Mole Valley on Saturday 31/10/25. Two rinks at Home and Two Away. Both pairs of rinks were flying and were well in front at 5 ends. At 10 ends the pace was hotting up, Donyngs leading 67 - 23. Donyngs turned on the after-burners and at 15 ends led by 60 shots. The Dragons finally won comfortably with a final shot score of 104 - 38. Donyngs meet Sutton in the next Round.
