Mens Surrey County Result

OVER 60s INTER COUNTY COMPETITION

Surrey have been regular Finalists and Winner of this Inter County Competition and had high hopes of winning again this year. The format is 6 Rinks, 3 at Home and  Away. This Season both Ian Mellis and Trevor Pocock have been members of the team.

The 1st Round was played against Berkshire. Home was at Egham. Trevor played 3 to Ian Ross and won 35-10. Ian played 2 to Mike Lambert and won 26-7. Overall Surrey won 127-72.

Round 2 saw Surrey pitted against Hampshire, who surrey have beaten in the past. However this time around it was not to be. trevor was put to Skip following the late withdrawal on Ian Ross and his rink was beaten 11-18. Ians rink wa not able to be successful, losing 21-28.

Surrey won all 3 rinks away, but unusually lost all 3 at home, losing overall 107-125.
