Peter was selected as one of the three finalists for Volunteer of the Year at this year's 2015 Croydon Community Civic Awards. This was in recognition for his volunteering work with the FMLBG as a lawnbowls coach. The FMLBG runs the Marlpit Lane Bowling Green, a green open to the public. Peter's work coaching scouts and guides groups has been invaluable, and his assistance with events such as the Rotary Fair helped recruit new players. Peter has worked tirelessly to keep the bowling green in good condition for the whole community.
On Tuesday 15 September 2015, Reigate and Banstead District Sports Council held its annual Sport Awards 2015. The awards are to recognise and reward talented local athletes, coaches, volunteers, teams and clubs for their outstanding achievements in sport over the past 12 months. This year saw Ann Brown receive the Senior Citizens Sport Award for her work with juniors at Donyngs IBC and Redhill Bowling Club.
Ann has for many years led the coaching of juniors at Donyngs Indoor Bowls Club giving up her Saturday mornings and many Monday afternoons to coach junior bowlers aged 8 to 18. Ann has wholeheartedly supported the inception and first year's operation of RBC's Satellite Bowls Club at the Warwick School. Her input has enabled the Satellite Club to maintain a steady attendance over the year giving it a strong foundation to build upon in future years.
We congratulate Ann on a well deserved award!

This year 2015 he came fourth in the Regional competition and this has qualified him to be selected for the National event to be held at Melton Mowbray at Melton and District IBC on Sunday 25th October 2015.
Donyngs is very proud of James' achievement and we wish him all the best when he goes to Melton.
