Coaching normally takes place on Saturday mornings from 9am to 10.30am. Other times can be specially arranged. If you are an adult newcomer to the sport, please contact:- The Club 01737 780303. There is no charge for beginners coaching or to try bowls - all equipment is supplied. All our coaches are qualified.
Donyngs has a growing Junior Section (of 8 - 18 year olds) where youngsters can learn the basics of how to bowl, and then improve their skills and play games. They meet every Saturday morning from 8.00 - 10.00am. The cost is £1.50 per session for non-members and £1.00 for members. The sessions are taken by qualified coaches, all of whom have received DBS clearance.
For Juniors who want to further develop their bowling skills, we provide the opportunity for them to play friendly matches against other clubs. In addition, the best players are invited to represent Donyngs in the National Under 25s competition.
The Club runs a number of internal leagues. Each league is made up of between 4 and 8 teams. As a member of a team you will play once every two/three weeks, depending on the size of the team.
The Club participates and runs a range of competitions for all levels of player. These cover International Competitions and Leagues to external Friendlies, County and National Competitions.
