The Club participates and runs a range of competitions for all levels of player. These cover International Competitions and Leagues to external Friendlies, County and National Competitions.
The range of competitions ensures that both novice and experienced bowlers can have a chance to appear in a final. The competitions are managed by the Competition Secretary. The majority of the competitions operate on a ‘knock-out’ basis. The Competition Rules are held at the reception desk. Entry fees are charged for each competition.
The Club organises a number of external fixtures for men’s, ladies’ and mixed competitions. These include friendly fixtures throughout the year, as well as entering the following county leagues: - the Men’s County League, the East Surrey Mixed League and the South East Ladies League.
Team selection sheets are posted on the Club Boards for those keen to play in these matches. These sheets also give details on match day fees and start times. The matches are arranged through the Men’s and Ladies’ Match Secretaries, and team selections are made by the Men’s and Ladies’ Captains.
Through the Club’s affiliation to county and national bodies, members are also eligible to play in both Surrey County (SCIBA/SCWIBA) and National (EIBA) competitions. The Club makes every effort to reserve rinks for these competitions given adequate prior notice.
